New Hw Suggestions!

xangocaltraeis and a couple other pro map makers r proudly making our clan's own hw map

however we could still use some more ideas

got any?

u know how people HATE 5v5?? I say take it off and just put 4v4 and 2 bots for troops. Add a few more heros, rename them, make the game a little less laggy is possible

its always easier to tweak an existing map than it is to start from scratch.

I am currently in the process of making my own map and after I get a first playable version out I will start working on
"Hero Wars GoW"

or whatever you decide to call it
all I ask is that you post in this forum what features you want and from which version (or map) I can find them
or in the case of a truly unique idea, explain it in as much detail as you can

keep in mind any feature you add may have to be balanced so we don't ruin the game

mentioned earlier "make the game a little less laggy" (or something like that)
definitely possible if I dial down the number of mobs on the game board at one time...
to balance that I would have to either Up the stats of each mob or the game will take longer to win since each piece on the board has to be tracked by the host and that info is sent out to each player causing extra data to be sent back and forth
or I could have the mobs spawn location change based on how close the enemy is to your base (farm?)

i was thinking it would be cool if each player got to choose which race of units they spawn, and upgrade individually, but dont make the troops spawn very often, cuz w/ full house it would give it tons of troops

also the -challenge creep in hw classic is kewl

make the random less likely to get uber heros

mayb add the ffa arena

Well i have this idea of like...somehow During Day- light has some sorta adv....and during night.....dark has some sorta adv....and i think itd be cool of like every 3 duels....on the 4th duel a ALL team duel

it will also b kool 2 put a ffa duel at the end
also put in 2v2 duesl and tag-team duels

and btw, i have another suggestion

it would be cool if u had more spots that the circles would teleport u to, and you could somehow "capture" the points on the opponent's side of the map, then you could just use the circle to go there instead of having to walk all the way to the other side of the map

take all the good things from each map and then put them all together

no, u wouldnt be able to rush, u would ahve to go to the other side of the map and "capture" the point to spawn at, so its not like ur gonna imediatly go and kill them

as xango said its easier to take a map and mod it then start one from scratch, I vote for moding ice 1.2ar, thats the best, most balanced map I know, and things like apearance, new heroes , ffa duel could be added.
